Watson to have hearing with Player Safety

Predators forward faces discipline for boarding against Avalanche center Toninato @NHLdotcom

Nashville Predators forward Austin Watson will have a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety on Sunday for boarding against Colorado Avalanche center Dominic Toninato on Saturday.

The incident occurred at 11:47 of the first period at Bridgestone Arena. Watson received a five-minute major penalty for boarding and a 10-minute misconduct.

The Predators defeated the Avalanche 5-2.

The following grounds are being considered for supplemental discipline: boarding. However, the Department of Player Safety retains the right to make adjustments to the infraction upon review.
