Pouliot lifts Oilers past Flames with late goal @NHLdotcom

Benoit Pouliot scored the game-winning goal with less than three minutes remaining, and the Edmonton Oilers defeated the Calgary Flames at Scotiabank Saddledome.

Michael Frolik opened the scoring for the Flames in the first period, but Mark Letestu scored 48 seconds later to tie it for the Oilers.

Pouliot scored his game-winner at 17:08 of the third period. Justin Schultz scored an empty-net goal with eight seconds left to make it 3-1.

Matt Hendricks had two assists for the Oilers.

Ben Scrivens made 12 saves on 13 shots for Edmonton; Anders Nilsson made saves on all 17 shots he faced.

Joni Ortio made 11 saves on 12 shots for Calgary; Jonas Hiller made 15 saves and allowed one goal.
