Postma three-point outing paces Hitmen to 5-1 win over Warriors
NHL.com @NHLCALGARY - Paul Postma scored once and added two assists to lead the Calgary Hitmen to a convincing 5-1 win over the Moose Jaw Warriors in Western Hockey League playoff action Friday night.
With the win, the Hitmen jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference playoff series with Game 2 set for Sunday afternoon at the Pengrowth Saddledome.
Ryan White had a goal and an assist, while Ryan Gillen, Kyle Bortis and Karl Alzner each scored once. T.J. Galiardi chipped in with a pair of assists for the Hitmen, who finished first in the Eastern Conference in the regular season with a 47-20-1-4 record.
Riley Holzapfel scored the lone goal for the Warriors, who finished in eighth spot with a 37-21-6-8 record.
Calgary goalie Dan Spence made 18 saves to pick up the win, while Moose Jaw netminder Joey Perricone stopped 33 shots at the other end.
