Postma scores twice as Hitmen take 3-1 series lead over Broncos @NHLdotcom

CALGARY - Paul Postma scored twice and Brent Sonne notched the game winner as the Calgary Hitmen edged the Swift Current Broncos 3-2 in WHL playoff action Wednesday night.

With the win, the Hitmen took a 3-1 lead over the Broncos in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference semifinal series. Game 5 is slated for Friday night at the Pengrowth Saddledome.

One night after a thrilling 6-5 win in double overtime over the Broncos, Postma scored goals in each of the first two periods before Sonne counted his second of the post-season to give the Hitmen a 3-1 lead after two periods.

Dale Weise and David Stieler scored goals for Swift Current, while netminder Travis Yonkman did his best to keep the Broncos in the game with 31 saves.

After being pulled from the game the previous night in favour of Martin Jones, Calgary goalie Dan Spence rebounded with 18 saves on 20 shots to record the victory.
