On the game-tying goal
We executed when we had the delayed penalty. We got the extra attacker, moved the puck around and got a shot on net. It was an old school game of sorts. There were a lot of confrontations, battles, wall work, chipping, hitting. A little bit of everything. I thought we played well. It came down to overtime again, and obviously we know what happened.

On the season
We've played a lot of hockey and we're going to continue playing a lot of hockey for the next few weeks. It's a grind. The objective is to get points every night. We'd like two, but it's nice to get one.

You just try to get some open space with the extra player. I was just able to find the puck and we out-manned them in front.
On scoring chances
We had a lot of chances tonight, and it would've been nice to score a few more goals. Going forward, we can take this with us. Just stay confident. We created chances. I thought we played a pretty good game. We can't get too down.

On the game
Any time you lose a game in your own building in an overtime, there was an extra point there for us. Tonight I thought we had a decent first [period], we were kind of flat in the second, and got reset and refocused in the third. It's a tough break in overtime. We missed an assignment, but we'll move on.
On earning points
I didn't think we were as effective as we should've been in the second period. We let them dictate the play. They got a goal off a faceoff play, which is always a burr in a coach's side. We responded in the third period. We had a good effort. We've had a great little run and we're still getting points. That's the most important thing.

On the Blues' defense
In Boston we gave up a ton of scoring chances. When we played LA we felt like we still had a pretty good game. Obviously, the score didn't indicate that. The chances we gave up they seemed to put in. The last few games we just bared down. The reason we've kept so many goals out is because we've kept the puck out of our zone. We've done a great job of breaking the puck out of our zone with possession and doing it quickly to get back on the offensive side of things.
On the Blues' recent play
Nothing has changed on our end. We haven't been getting enough of that one extra bit of effort and detail when you need a calm, poised play. We haven't been doing that enough. The best feeling is that we've done it the last two games and now we can see the difference of what we have been doing for the first half of the season. Hopefully, this is the spark for things to come. This has been our staple and we worry about scoring goals second because we seem to shut teams down and get scoring chances off of it.

Our focus was to tighten things up and play with more consistency for a full 60 minutes. Tonight was a battle. That's a pretty good hockey team. We held our ground. We battled, and Berglund came up big in overtime.
On his performance
I felt good. Since after Christmas I've been seeing the puck well. I've been working on battling and competing to find pucks while staying on my feet as long as possible. I work hard when I'm not playing. I visualize pucks and work on my tracking.

That's the right way to play. Now we're competing and working for each other. We're tracking back hard to help out the [defense]. We're competing way harder. In this league you have to compete really hard to win and good results happen when you do. It'll be great to go home with the points from this trip.

On how it felt to win tonight's game
Just the way we are competing. Today wasn't clean. We made some tired mistakes. They made some tired mistakes. We're competing at a much higher level and it's allowing us a chance to win games. When you're competing at a high level you keep the scoring chances down, you keep the shots on goal down, you confront every scoring opportunity and that's what we're doing. We're looking like a team that wants to pay the price to win hockey games right now.
On why he played Berglund that early into overtime
No, he wouldn't have played that early, but when the guy is playing that well you have to keep playing him. He deserved it.
