LAS VEGAS - The Canadiens posted a 4-1 win over the Golden Knights on Tuesday night to take a 3-2 lead in the series.

The Stanley Cup Semifinals shifted to T-Mobile Arena for Game 5.
Even though the Habs were far from home, they still had plenty of fan support in the stands.

The Canadiens didn't make any lineup changes heading into their most important contest of the year to date.
Goaltender Carey Price made his 16th straight start for the visitors.

Meanwhile, goaltender Marc-André Fleury was back between the pipes for the Golden Knights after Robin Lehner started in Game 4.
It was Fleury's 16th start of the postseason.
Montreal opened the scoring at the 8:45 mark of the first period.
Centreman Jesperi Kotkaniemi jumped on a rebound off a Josh Anderson shot, and buried a loose puck into an almost empty cage.

It was Kotkaniemi's fifth goal of the playoffs, and his first since Game 1 of the second-round series against the Winnipeg Jets.
Winger Paul Byron also assisted on the tally to extend his point streak to four games.
That's the way things stood after 20 minutes. Both teams registered six shots on goal.
The Canadiens doubled their lead at the 6:32 mark of the second period courtesy of Eric Staal.
The 36-year-old centreman was on the receiving end of a perfect pass from Nick Suzuki before beating Fleury with a wrist shot upstairs.

It was Staal's second goal of the playoffs, and his first since Game 1 of the second-round series against Winnipeg.
Suzuki picked up a helper in a third straight game.
Winger Tyler Toffoli collected the secondary assist on Staal's snipe.
The Canadiens lit the lamp again just 3:17 later on the power play.
Veteran Corey Perry capitalized on a turnover by Golden Knights' captain Mark Stone in the neutral zone, finding rookie Cole Caufield, who scored his third goal of the playoffs.

Caufield has four points (3 goals, 1 assist) in the series against Vegas.
For his part, Suzuki picked up his second assist of the contest.
The Canadiens led 3-0 after 40 minutes. Montreal also led 17-15 in shots at the break.
The Golden Knights got on the scoreboard at the 4:09 mark of the third period.
Centreman Nicolas Roy won an offensive zone draw that allowed Max Pacioretty to net his first goal of the series.

It was Pacioretty's fifth goal of the playoffs.
The former Canadiens captain extended his point streak to three straight games on the play.
Suzuki added an empty-netter with 1:06 left in regulation to cap the scoring.

It was his fifth goal of the playoffs and his third point of the night.
Toffoli collected the lone assist.
Price made 26 saves in the win.
The Canadiens can punch their ticket to the Stanley Cup Final on Thursday night in Game 6 at the Bell Centre.
