Pomerleau scores winner with 2:17 left as St. John's edges Quebec 2-1

QUEBEC - Maxime Pomerleau scored the winner with 2:17 left in regulation to lift the St. John's Fog Devils to a 2-1 win over the Quebec Remparts in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action Monday.

Nick Layton added a goal for St. John's (29-27-1-6).

Mikhail Stefanovich, with his 27th goal of the season, replied for Quebec (33-25-1-3).

Timo Pielmeier made 33 saves for the win, while Kevin Desfosses stopped 22 shots at the other end.
