Pogge stops 24, San Antonio Rampage shut out Manitoba Moose 4-0 in AHL play @NHLdotcom

SAN ANTONIO - Justin Pogge stopped 24 shots for San Antonio as the Rampage shut out the Manitoba Moose 4-0 in American Hockey League action Thursday night.

Kevin Porter, Mikkel Boedker, Kyle Turris and Gavin Morgan all had goals for the Rampage (26-24-9) to hand the Moose their fourth shutout of the season. Porter opened the scoring 3:49 into the first period by firing the puck over Moose goalie Cory Schneider's right pad.

The Moose (29-26-6) had an opportunity to get on the scoreboard soon after but failed to capitalize on a 27 second two-man advantage at the 8:15 mark.

Boedker later escaped on a breakaway and topped the puck over the net minder at the 14:31 mark.

The Rampage extended their lead in the second period when Turris snapped the puck into the top right corner of Schneider's net.

Morgan then smacked the puck into the mesh in the third to confirm the win for the Rampage.

Schneider stopped 27 shots for the Moose in defeat.
