Lemieux to have hearing for actions in Rangers game

Brendan Lemieux will have a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety on Friday.

The New York Rangers forward is facing discipline for interference against Colorado Avalanche forward Joonas Donskoi.

The incident occurred with 2:52 remaining in the third period of the Rangers' 3-2 overtime loss at Pepsi Center. Lemieux received a minor penalty for interference. Donskoi did not play the remainder of the game.

The following grounds are being considered for supplemental discipline: interference. However, the Department of Player Safety retains the right to make adjustments to the infraction upon review.

Lemieux was fined $2,000 for elbowing Vegas Golden Knights forward Cody Glass on Dec. 9.
