PENGUINS (10-4-2) at ISLANDERS (5-8-3)
7 p.m. ET; SN, TVA Sports, MSG+, ROOT, NHL.TV
Penguins team scope
Right wing Patric Hornqvist, who is day to day because of a concussion, did not participate in the Pittsburgh Penguins' optional morning skate at Barclays Center. Left wing Chris Kunitz, who is day to day because of a lower-body injury, skated but will be a game-time decision, according to coach Mike Sullivan. Goaltender Matt Murray will start. He left late in the first period of a 7-1 loss at the Washington Capitals on Wednesday after taking an accidental hit to the head, but cleared the NHL's concussion protocol.
Islanders team scope
Ryan Strome will once again be shifted from center to right wing and will skate on the top line with John Tavares in an attempt to get the New York Islanders' stagnant offense going. The Islanders have scored 40 goals in 16 games this season and are 1-3-3 in November. "Obviously it's a good opportunity," said Strome, who has two goals and three assists this season. "You don't want to overthink it; I think just play the way I did last game. I think our team has played pretty hard the last couple of days. I think if we just do the same things we've been doing, kind of hit the reset button a little bit, we'll be fine."

Sestito cleared waivers Friday but remains on Pittsburgh's roster. … Halak will make his seventh straight start. Beauvillier will play center for the first time this season. "We'll see how that goes," coach Jack Capuano said. "Just trying to balance the lines to what we feel is going to give us some scoring moving forward. He's sound defensively." Seidenberg and Pulock each skated Friday but neither is ready to return.
Kessel scored the Penguins' only goal in the loss at Washington. He has one goal and three assists in the past four games.
