Pither has three goals, two assists in Belleville debut, Bulls down Generals @NHLdotcom

BELLEVILLE, Ont. - Luke Pither had three goals and two assists in his Belleville debut and the Bulls hammered the Oshawa Generals 8-2 in Ontario Hockey League action Wednesday.

Pither's offensive outburst came just hours after the Bulls acquired him from the Guelph Storm for a second-round pick in 2010.

Bryan Cameron and Eric Tangradi each had a goal and two assists for the Bulls, while Shawn Lalonde and Stephen Johnston each contributed a goal and an assist. Nick Palmieri had the other Belleville goal.

Superstar John Tavares, the subject of trade rumours, had a goal and an assist for Oshawa. Kory Nagy also scored for the Generals.

Mike Murphy made 28 saves for Belleville (26-12-2-2) while Neil Conway stopped 35 shots for Oshawa (18-16-1-4).
