Pickard shuts out Portland for 58 minutes as the Thunderbirds win 3-1 @NHLdotcom

PORTLAND, Ore. - Chris Cloud scored the eventual game-winner at 14:58 of the third period to pace the Seattle Thunderbirds to a 3-1 victory over the Portland Winter Hawks in Western Hockey League play on Saturday night.

Luke Walker scored for Portland to end Calvin Pickard's shutout bid with less than two minutes remaining in the game.

Jonathon Parker and Greg Scott had the other goals for Seattle (13-14-1-2).

Thunderbird goalie Pickard made 34 saves for the win, while Kurtis Mucha stopped 31 shots for the Winter Hawks (8-23-0-0).
