Pickard makes 40 saves to lead the Thunderbirds over the Warriors 2-0 @NHL

KENT, Wash. - Calvin Pickard made 40 saves to record his second shutout of the season and lift the Seattle Thunderbirds to a 2-0 victory over the Moose Jaw Warriors on Friday in Western Hockey League action.

Tyler Alos and Burke Gallimore scored for the Silvertips (16-17-1), who have won three games in a row.

Luke Siemens turned aside 20 shots in defeat for the Warriors (23-10-4), who had their four-game winning streak snapped.

Seattle went 1-for-5 on the power play while Moose Jaw failed to score on seven chances with the man advantage.
