It's been more than three months since ground was broken on the Golden Knights' future practice facility.
Situated in suburban Summerlin, the facility will feature two NHL-sized ice sheets, and will be a hub for youth and adult hockey in Southern Nevada.
Three months into the process, we toured the facility for an update on construction.
Below is a photo run-through of where the project currently stands.

This is how the facility looks when approaching from the west, starting right next to Downtown Summerlin.

And looking west, from where the facility will stand.

Murray Craven is the Golden Knights' senior vice president. A retired 18-year NHL veteran, he (left) is the team's primary executive assigned to the project.

3

The facility will be two stories high. Looking out from the top level, this is where one of the ice sheets will sit. You can almost see it beginning to take shape.

From down where the ice will eventually be located, you can see how the spectators will be positioned. Here, you can see where an eventual public gym will be located. It will be possible to be in the gym and looked out onto the ice.

6

The players will have their own separate gym on the second level. The space has already been cleared.

The Golden Knights' training area will be on the lower level of the building. Here, Craven stands in the area where the team's locker room will eventually be constructed.

7

Adjacent to the locker room, the team's head coach will have his own office. It hasn't been built yet, except there's already a cutout for the office window.

Craven says progress is made pretty much daily.

Although it may not look like much yet, every aspect of this project has been thoroughly planned out.
