TORONTO - Philip-Michael Devos of the Victoriaville Tigres was named Canadian Hockey League player of the week on Tuesday.
He had three goals and five assists in three games last week. The Tigres dropped their Quebec Major Junior Hockey League semifinal to the Saint John Sea Dogs in six games. Scott Timmins of the Windsor Spitfires and Brendan Shinnimin of the Tri-City Americans were also considered.
Tri-City's Drew Owsley was named CHL goaltender of the week after helping the Americans to a six-game victory in their WHL Western Conference final against Vancouver.
Owsley won three of four games last week and posted a goals-against average of 1.97 and a save percentage of .939.
Philipp Grubauer of the Windsor Spitfires and Nicola Riopel of the Moncton Wildcats were also considered.
