8 p.m. ET; FS-MW+, NBCSP+, NHL.TV

The Game

The St. Louis Blues will try to gain ground in the Central Division when they play the Philadelphia Flyers at Enterprise Center on Thursday.

The Blues, who gained a point in a 4-3 shootout loss to the Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday, are one point behind the Winnipeg Jets and Nashville Predators for first place in the division. Each team has two games remaining.

Blues goalie Jordan Binnington, who is expected to start, can set a St. Louis rookie record for most wins in a season. His 22 victories are tied with Jake Allen, who won 22 in 2014-15.

The Flyers, who have been eliminated from Stanley Cup Playoff, have lost three in a row and five of their past six games (1-5-0).

Players to watch

Flyers forward Claude Giroux, who has 21 points (four goals, 17 assists) the past 19 games, has eight points (three goals, five assists) his past seven games against the Blues.

Binnington is 18-4-0 with a 1.81 goals-against average, a .930 save percentage and four shutouts in his past 22 games. He shut out the Flyers 3-0 on Jan. 7, in his first NHL start.

They said it

"One of the things about him is he's playing with a lot of confidence and he's seeing the puck really well. When he's off, he's not off by much. The fact that he's been able to come up and do what he's done is pretty impressive." -- Flyers coach Scott Gordon on Blues goalie Jordan Binnington

"We're one point behind Winnipeg to lead the division. We get a little bit of help, we've got a chance to get home ice and to maybe win the division." -- Blues defenseman Alex Pietrangelo
