PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Flyers signed forward Jesse Boulerice and centre Jim Dowd to one-year contracts Wednesday.
The 29-year-old Boulerice had one assist and a team-high 47 penalty minutes in six pre-season games. In 16 games with Albany of the AHL last season, he had four goals and three assists.
Boulerice played three games with the Flyers in 2001-02 and has also played in the NHL for Carolina and St. Louis. In 165 regular-season games, he has eight goals, two assists and 304 penalty minutes.
The 38-year-old Dowd, who is entering his 16th NHL season, has played with nine teams. He had four goals and four assists in 66 regular-season games with New Jersey last season.
Dowd has 66 goals and 163 assists in his career.
Financial terms of the deals were not released.
