Condensed Game: Flyers @ Kraken

SEATTLE -- Ivan Provorov scored at 2:14 of overtime to give the Philadelphia Flyers a 3-2 win against the Seattle Kraken at Climate Pledge Arena on Wednesday.

Provorov won it when he took a stretch pass from Kevin Hayes and scored on a backhand.
"Kevin came back, so I dropped to him and continued going," Provorov said. "I cut straight across to try and get behind their players and Kevin was able to find me with a really nice pass and I just tried to get [Philipp] Grubauer to bite."
James van Riemsdyk scored two goals, and Martin Jones made 34 saves for the Flyers (13-12-5), who have a six-game point streak (5-0-1).
"In the third period, I think we recognized that we're pretty fortunate to be in the position that we were," Philadelphia coach Mike Yeo said. "That's where I thought we had a better mindset. This is where you need the urgency that every play can be the difference in the game. It doesn't matter if it's the first period, second period, whatever the time."

Jeremy Lauzon scored his first goal with the Kraken (10-17-4), who are 1-4-2 in their past seven. Grubauer made 19 saves.
"We created enough opportunities and we defended really well," Seattle coach Dave Hakstol said. "There's not a whole lot out of the script that I would change coming off an 11-day break. I thought that our structure was good, and our effort was really good. It's just really disappointing to not come away with the two points."
Van Riemsdyk scored on a one-timer off a pass from Claude Giroux for a power-play goal to give Philadelphia a 1-0 lead at 4:44 of the first period. It was Giroux's 600th NHL assist.

Yanni Gourde tied it 1-1 on a power play at 12:46 with a one-timer from the right face-off circle.
The Kraken held a 23-11 shots advantage after the second period.
"In the first two periods we turned over too many pucks, we weren't just supporting each other, and winning battles," Giroux said. "It was pretty bad. 'Jonesy' kept us in the game. And the third, I thought we played a little bit more how we want to play as a team."
Lauzon appeared to score at 5:57 of the third period, but the Flyers successfully challenged that Kraken forward Jaden Schwartz interfered with Jones.
However, Lauzon gave Seattle a 2-1 lead with a wrist shot from the left circle at 14:32.
"On the disallowed goal, it is what it is," Hakstol said. "We can agree to disagree. It doesn't matter, on to the next play. We did that, we generated the lead with just good hard work and then a skilled play … to give away that lead right away after, that's a play we made a mistake. (Our) right defenseman should have gone back to his post there, that allows the net front to be much easier."

PHI@SEA: Lauzon scores in 3rd period

Van Riemsdyk tied it 15 seconds later when he scored with a snap shot from the right circle at 14:47 to make it 2-2.
"I thought we started to get more of that urgency in our game in the third period," Yeo said. "I will say this, we showed a lot of character tonight. We made it real difficult on ourselves, but the third-period responses were good."
