Johnny Boychuk and Andrew Ladd scored in the third period to help the New York Islanders defeat the Philadelphia Flyers 3-2 at Barclays Center.
Boychuk broke a 1-1 tie with 8:41 left when he skated into the slot and one-timed Yannick Turcotte's feed past Alex Lyon. Ladd's power-play goal made it 3-1 with 2:50 remaining.

Devon Toews also scored for New York.
Travis Konecny gave the Flyers a 1-0 lead 52 seconds into the game when he put Will O'Neill's rebound past Thomas Greiss.
Toews tied it at 9:12 of the first period, with an assist from Jeff Kubiak. Toews, a defenseman, played left wing after Michael Dal Colle was a late scratch because of a lower-body injury.
Flyers defenseman TJ Brennan made it 3-2 with 1:06 remaining.
Greiss played the first two periods and made 17 saves. He was replaced by Kristers Gudlevskis, who stopped nine of 10 shots.
Lyon made 26 saves.
