The Game
The Philadelphia Flyers will try for their sixth win in seven games when they play the Los Angeles Kings at Staples Center on Tuesday.
The Flyers, who won 2-1 against the Anaheim Ducks on Sunday, are 5-1-0 in their past six and have not won two straight road games since winning three in a row Nov. 21-30 at the Carolina Hurricanes, Columbus Blue Jackets and Montreal Canadiens. Philadelphia is 2-4-0 on the road in December.
The Kings have lost four of five (1-3-1). They are coming off a 3-2 loss at the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday.
Players to watch
Flyers goalie Brian Elliott, who is 7-3-0 with a 2.95 goals-against average and .909 save percentage in 10 road games, is expected to start for the second straight game.
Kings center Anze Kopitar needs one assist to tie Luc Robitaille (597) for fourth in Kings history.
