CALGARY -- The Philadelphia Flyers ended their 10-game losing streak with a 5-2 win against the Calgary Flames at Scotiabank Saddledome on Monday.
Former Calgary goalie Brian Elliott made 43 saves for Philadelphia, which was 0-5-5 during the streak and hadn't won since a 3-1 victory against the Chicago Blackhawks on Nov. 9.
"That's a big streak to end, and in doing it the way we did tonight with punctuation was really good for our group," Elliott said. "We've got to take that and harness that and take it to the next game. We've got to enjoy this though. We've waited a little too long for it."

The Flyers avoided losing 11 consecutive games for the first time in their history. Philadelphia lost 10 straight games twice previously (Dec. 2-27, 2006: 0-9-1; Feb. 6-23, 2008: 0-8-2).
Elliott, who signed a two-year contract with the Flyers on July 1, started 45 regular-season and four Stanley Cup Playoff games for the Flames last season after being acquired in a trade from the St. Louis Blues on June 24, 2016. He was pulled 5:38 into his final start for Calgary, a series-ending 3-1 loss in Game 4 of the Western Conference First Round against the Anaheim Ducks.
"We had some success, made the playoffs here (with the Flames)," Elliott said. "I've got a lot of friends over there, but when the puck drops, it's no friends and I really wanted that one tonight."
Scott Laughton scored two goals, and Valtteri Filppula, Michael Raffl and Wayne Simmonds each scored for the Flyers (9-11-7). Jakub Voracek had three assists.
"It's a huge win for our group, I think," Laughton said. "It started to slip a little bit. We get to 10 games and you start getting in your own head. It's just a really good feeling for this group right now."

Troy Brouwer and Sean Monahan scored for the Flames (14-12-1), who have two wins in seven games (2-4-1) after going 7-2-0 in their previous nine. Mike Smith allowed five goals on 21 shots.
"That was a tough one," Calgary forward Matthew Tkachuk said. "We need to be better."
The Flyers scored three goals in 1:11 in the second period to take a 4-1 lead.
Laughton put Philadelphia up 2-1 at 7:31, and Raffl made it 3-1 at 7:56 when he one-timed a return pass from Voracek past Smith. Simmonds extended the lead to 4-1 with a power-play goal at 8:42.
Monahan shot over Elliott's shoulder from a sharp angle with 1:15 left in the second to make it 4-2.
Laughton scored again 1:51 into the third period to put the Flyers up 5-2.
"It's a good feeling," Laughton said. "Can't say it enough. To get a big win like that collectively as a group, I thought everyone battled really hard."
Flames defenseman Travis Hamonic was given a match penalty for a hit on Flyers forward Dale Weise at 1:58 of the third period. Weise did not play the rest of the game but returned to the Philadelphia bench.
Brouwer scored on the rebound of Curtis Lazar's shot for his first goal of the season to put Calgary up 1-0 at 18:15 of the first period, but Filppula scored at 19:16 to tie it 1-1.
"We've got to be able to shrug things off when they happen and move forward," Brouwer said. "It seems like sometimes we get a little bit down on ourselves, and maybe that's where us as leaders can do a little bit better job of making sure that guys stay up and stay excited and not get down on ourselves."
