QUEBEC - Felix Petit and Kelsey Tessier each had two goals and two assists as the Quebec Remparts walloped the Halifax Mooseheads 9-2 in Tuesday night's lone Quebec Major Junior Hockey League game.

The teammates combined to score four of Quebec's five second-period goals as the Remparts (33-21-1-3) moved to within two points of idle Gatineau for fourth place in the Telus Division. Angelo Esposito, Mikhail Stafanovich and Maxime Lacroix each added a goal and two assists in the one-sided victory.

Christophe Poirier and Sebastien Trudeau had singles, while Kevin Desfosses stopped 37 shots for his 30th victory of the season.

Andrew White and David Bouchard countered for the Mooseheads (33-18-0-5), who failed to gain ground on the East Division-leading Saint John Sea Dogs. Halifax trails Saint John by three points, with the Sea Dogs holding one game in hand.

Pier-Olivier Pelletier was pulled after allowing Quebec's fifth goal early in the second period. Mark Yetman relieved, and the duo combined to make 21 saves.
