North Carolina, come on and raise up. The Carolina Hurricanes have a new goal song.

The Hurricanes revealed Wednesday that the Petey Pablo anthem "Raise Up" won their goal song fan vote and Pablo himself was on hand to announce the big news.

Tweet from @NHLCanes: RAISE UP! @DaRealPetey has a special announcement for #Canes fans 🙌

"Raise Up" topped seven other finalists, including a techno remix of "Brass Bonanza," the former Hartford Whalers theme and goal song, and "The Nights" by Avicii, which was previously the Hurricanes goal song.

Pablo is from Snow Hill, North Carolina, a town roughly 75 miles east of the Hurricanes' home in Raleigh, making "Raise Up" a true hometown pick.
