Petersen scores OT winner as Cataractes beat Voltigeurs 2-1 to force Game 7

SHAWINIGAN, Que. - Shawinigan's Nicholas Petersen scored 19:19 into overtime as the Cataractes forced a seventh game in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League final with a 2-1 victory over the Drummondville Voltigeurs on Sunday.

The Cataractes have won two straight to tie the series after trailing 3-1.

After a scoreless first period, Drummondville forward Yannick Riendeau got the Voltigeurs on the board with a power-play goal at 12:45 of the second.

The Cataractes replied with a power-play goal from Cedric Lalonde-McNicoll at 14:51 of the third.

Shawinigan goaltender Gabriel Girard made 34 saves for the win, while Drummondville's Marco Cousineau stopped 35 shots.

Riendeau's goal was his 27th of the playoffs. It also marked the 16th time he's scored on the power play, tying Mathieu Melanson's 2006 mark for post-season goals with the man advantage.

The series now returns to Drummondville, Que., on Tuesday for Game 7.
