Peters stops 19 shots as Saginaw cruises past Sault Ste. Marie 4-0
NHL.com @NHLdotcomSAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. - Anthony Peters turned aside 19 shots to earn a shutout in his Saginaw debut as the Spirit blanked the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds 4-0 in Ontario Hockey League action Wednesday night.
Peters, acquired in a trade with the Kingston Frontenacs on Dec. 27, wasn't tested until the third period, when he made 10 saves. Saginaw outshot Sault Ste. Marie 37-19 in the game.
Kyle Bochek, Jordan Szwarz, Jordan Skellett and Jack Combs had goals for the Spirit (22-14-0-3).
Cody St. Jacques made 33 saves in defeat for the Greyhounds (15-23-2-1).
