OTTAWA - Chris Perugini made 13 saves as the Ottawa 67's downed the Belleville Bulls 3-0 in Ontario Hockey League action Friday night.
Julien Demers had two assists for the Ottawa (23-17-7), but it was teammates Corey Cowick, Cody Lindsay and Jon Carnevale who scored.
Tyson Teichmann stopped 21 shots for Belleville (14-26-7).
After a scoreless opening 20 minutes, the 67's scored two second-period goals to provide more than enough scoring for Chris Perugini's fourth shutout of the season.
Cowick scored early in the second period and Lindsay tallied late to give Ottawa a cushion before Carnevale closed out the scoring in the third. It was a nice return to the lineup for Carnevale after missing several games due to injury.
"It was a slow start last weekend but I'm getting back into it and it feels better every day," said Carnevale, who had missed nearly a month with a knee injury.
