Perry's OT goal lifts Ducks past Sharks @NHLdotcom

Corey Perry scored a power-play goal 3:37 into overtime to give the Anaheim Ducks a preseason win against the San Jose Sharks at Honda Center.

Ryan Kesler erased a 1-0 deficit at 19:07 of the third period and Frederik Andersen made 25 saves for the Ducks, who went 3-3-1 in the preseason. Anaheim opens the season on Oct. 9 at the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Tomas Hertl scored at 13:58 of the first period and Antti Niemi made 27 saves for the Sharks, who finished the preseason 3-2-2. San Jose will visit the Los Angeles Kings on Oct. 8.
