ANAHEIM -- The Winnipeg Jets scratched forward Mathieu Perreault for Game 1 of the Western Conference First Round against the Anaheim Ducks on Thursday because of a lower-body injury.
Winnipeg coach Paul Maurice had said Perreault would be a game-time decision. Perreault has skated the past two days, but has done it mostly on his own.
The former Ducks player had 18 goals and 23 assists in 62 regular-season games. He was replaced in the lineup by forward Matt Halischuk.
Ducks defenseman James Wisniewski was a healthy scratch, as expected, after Anaheim coach Bruce Boudreau said he wanted to keep the pairing of defensemen Clayton Stoner and Sami Vatanen intact for Game 1.
