Perreault extends point streak to 23 games, Acadie-Bathurst beats P.E.I. 6-4

CHARLOTTETOWN - Drew Paris and Jonathan Laberge each scored twice and Mathieu Perreault extended his franchise-record point streak to 23 games as the Acadie-Bathurst Titan beat the P.E.I. Rocket 6-4 in Tuesday's lone QMJHL game.

Perreault, a sixth-round pick of the Washington Capitals in 2006, set up Tomy Joly's 31st goal of the season 4:09 into the second period to extend the streak. The 19-year-old has eight goals and 25 assists during the run, which is also the longest in the league this season.

Dany Masse added a goal and two assists as the Titan (26-22-1-2) won their third straight game to move into a tie with the idle St. John's Fog Devils for fifth place in the Eastern Division. Acadie-Bathurst has four games in hand on the Fog Devils.

Jordon Southorn led the way with two goals and an assist for the Rocket (23-26-2-1), who fell six points back of Titan with their ninth loss in the last 11 games.

Nicolas Champion stopped 23 shots to earn the win for Acadie-Bathurst.

Antoine Lafleur made 29 saves in defeat.
