Movember is a foundation that focuses on mental health, testicular cancer and prostate cancer awareness. The charity has funded more than 1,250 men's health projects supporting cancer research and creating easy-to-use digital resources.
Penguins legend Mario Lemieux was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma on Jan. 12, 1993. Less than two months later, the No. 1 pick in the 1984 NHL Draft finished his last radiation treatment, took a plane to Philadelphia and had a goal and an assist in a 5-4 loss to the Flyers.
Later that year, Lemieux founded the Mario Lemieux Foundation, aiming to find a cure by funding blood cancer research.
