Penguins, Sharks continue trend with OT in Game 2

For fifth time in past six seasons, second game of Stanley Cup Final decided in overtime

The Pittsburgh Penguins' 2-1 win against the San Jose Sharks in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final on Wednesday is the fifth time in the past six seasons that Game 2 was decided in overtime.

Conor Sheary scored 2:35 into OT at Consol Energy Center for the latest.

Here are the Game 2 results since 2011:

2011: Vancouver Canucks 3, Boston Bruins 2 -- Alexandre Burrows scores 11 seconds into overtime to give Vancouver a 2-0 lead. Boston wins the series in seven games.

2012: Los Angeles Kings 2, New Jersey Devils 1 -- Jeff Carter scores at 13:42 to give Los Angeles a 2-0 lead. It wins the series in six games.

2013: Boston Bruins 2, Chicago Blackhawks 1 -- Daniel Paille scores at 13:48 to tie the series. Chicago wins the series in six games.

2014: Los Angeles Kings 5, New York Rangers 4 -- Dustin Brown scores 10:26 into the second OT to give Los Angeles a 2-0 lead. It wins the series in five games.

2015: Tampa Bay Lightning 4, Chicago Blackhawks 3 -- Jason Garrison scores at 8:49 of third period to break a 3-3 tie and tie the series. Chicago wins the series in six games.
