Sidney Crosby scored his 1,000th career point on Thursday and legendary Pittsburgh Penguins radio broadcaster Mike Lange was ready for it.
When Crosby found Chris Kunitz in the slot for a 2-0 lead over the Winnipeg Jets, Lange let it all hang out.
The always excitable broadcaster announced the score, but quickly pivoted to the man who had the assist.
"Somebody call Sinatra, Sid is singing tonight! One thousand points in his NHL career, Sidney Crosby."
We're not sure what it means either, but it was pretty exciting nonetheless.
