Penguins honor 25 millionth fan @NHLdotcom
The Pittsburgh Penguins welcomed the 25,000,000th fan in franchise history during Wednesday night's game with St. Louis at Consol Energy Center.

Fan No. 25,000,000, Tom Mimidis, won a trip to a road game as well as an autographed Sidney Crosby jersey.

Coming into Wednesday's game, the Penguins had drawn 24,983,853 fans since their inception in 1967, counting regular season and playoff games. Using bar-code technology, the Penguins were able to determine that Mimidis was the 16,147th fan through the gates Wednesday, making him the 25,000,000th fan in team history.

The crowd of 18,583 was the Penguins' 220th straight sellout. The team's overall attendance since 1967 is now 25,002,436.
