PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Penguins goalie Marc-Andre Fleury backed up Matt Murray for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Second Round series against the Washington Capitals at Consol Energy Center on Monday.

Fleury had not dressed for a game or played since March 31 because of a concussion.

Penguins coach Mike Sullivan repeatedly said Fleury was going through a process and was making progress, but he would never elaborate on when Fleury would be cleared to play. Fleury missed the last five games of the regular season and the first seven of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Murray made his sixth consecutive start Monday, entering Game 3 with a 4-1 record, a 1.74 goals-against average and .939 save percentage.

Fleury was 35-17-6 with five shutouts, a .921 save percentage and a 2.29 GAA in the regular season.
