Pittsburgh, PA- The Penguins Foundation and the FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Association have teamed up for the second consecutive year to support the battle against opioid addiction by urging students to participate in the HOPE (Heroin Outreach Prevention and Education) program's PSA Video Contest.
The Penguins Foundation's support includes providing the winning contestants to a VIP Party Suite for tonight's game against Carolina at PPG Paints Arena and also providing grant funds to the winning school districts.

In order to spread awareness of this rising epidemic, the HOPE PSA Video Contest has been expanded from school districts in Allegheny County to school districts located within all of Southwestern PA for grades 9-12.
The purpose of this initiative is to focus on the importance of prevention education and to teach teens about opioid abuse and misuse. By creating a unique 1-3 minute video, students gain an understanding of the impact on families and friends, as well as how abuse can be prevented.
Thirty-eight entries were submitted, totaling over 200 teens who participated in the HOPE Initiative this year. The top three entries were recognized in two categories - Judges Choice and People's Choice. Winning school districts and prizes awarded in both categories are as follows:
First Place Winners:
