Sullivan invites parents to hold infant inside Stanley Cup

Mike Sullivan's day with the Stanley Cup was centered around sharing it with young people in his home state Thursday. The Pittsburgh Penguins coach invited 12-day-old Evie Rose Reissfelder inside the trophy during a public ceremony at The Bog Ice Arena in Kingston, Massachusetts.

"I have never seen [the Cup] in person and was happy to share this memory with my wife and my daughter," said Paul Reissfelder, Evie Rose's father. "I will cherish this day … I know my daughter will not remember it, but she will always have the picture with [Sullivan] and the Stanley Cup to remember."
A native of Marshfield, Massachusetts, Sullivan chose to have his day at the rink in Kingston, where his children grew up playing hockey.

Sullivan's day started with a breakfast of donuts and cereal at his home with his daughters, Kaitlin and Kiley, and his son, Matthew.

Under Sullivan, the Penguins have won the Stanley Cup the past two seasons. He is 83-37-16 since replacing Mike Johnston on Dec. 12, 2015.
