A life-altering occasion is no reason to miss a Stanley Cup Playoff game.
The Tampa Bay Lightning and Pittsburgh Penguins will play Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final at Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh on Friday (8 p.m. ET, NBCSN, CBC, TVA Sports), and some fans are finding creative ways to watch, or at least show their support, even with huge events like graduations and proms happening at the same time.

This has become such a dilemma in western Pennsylvania that the Penguins posted this video of people who have donned their Pens gear at proms and graduations thus far.

In response, this Penguins fan announced she'd be wearing a jersey over her prom dress.

When your brother graduates you should be there to support him. But you can still rock your favorite team's colors.

A Canada-based Penguins fan is struggling with choosing between his graduation and Game 1.

This Lightning fan walked in his graduate school ceremony Friday and found a way to support his favorite hockey team at the same time.

Some fans have been inclined to do this to their graduation cap to show support.

If fans of the Lightning or Penguins need help for how to juggle both, they can follow the guidance of this San Jose Sharks fan, who found the perfect solution during her May 7 prom.
