Pelss with three points as the Oil Kings beat the Broncos 5-3

EDMONTON - Kristians Pelss scored once and set up two more as the Edmonton Oil Kings defeated the visiting Swift Current Broncos 5-3 on Saturday in Western Hockey League action.

Mark Pysyk, Griffin Reinhart, Tyler Maxwell and Curtis Lazar also scored for the Oil Kings (27-10-4).

Dalton Reum, Andy Blanke and Coda Gordon had a goal apiece for the Broncos (16-21-5).

Tristan Jarry made 14 saves for the win while Jon Groenheyde stopped 37 shots in defeat.

Neither team could score on the power play as Edmonton was 0 for 1 and Swift Current 0 for 2.
