ERIE, Pa. - Michael Pelech's goal 43 seconds into overtime capped a four-point effort and a comeback win for the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors as they edged the Erie Otters 4-3 on Saturday night in the Ontario Hockey League.
Pelech assisted on Mississauga's three other goals, including Jesse Messier's tying goal with 4:22 left in regulation.
The Majors (10-13-0-1) also rallied from an early 2-0 deficit with goals from Cameron Gaunce and Devante Smith-Pelly.
Zack Torquato opened the scoring three minutes into the game and gave Erie the lead again early in the third. Greg McKegg also scored for the Otters (12-13-2-0) while Justin Hodgman had two assists.
Chris Carrozzi made 23 saves to earn the win for Mississauga, while Erie netminder Jaroslav Janus stopped 17 shots.
