Peddle scores winner as Oil Kings beat the Ice 3-2 @NHLdotcom

EDMONTON - Jordan Peddle scored 3:06 into overtime as the Edmonton Oil Kings defeated the visiting Kootenay Ice 3-2 on Saturday in Western Hockey League action.

Henrik Samuelsson and Tyler Maxwell also scored for the Oil Kings (29-10-5), who picked up a point in their fifth straight game.

Sam Reinhart and Jagger dirk had a goal apiece for the Ice (25-13-5).

Laurent Brossoit stopped 25 shots for the win while Nathan Lieuwen made 41 saves in defeat.

Edmonton went 1 for 2 on the power play as Kootenay failed to score on three opportunities with the man advantage.
