MOOSE JAW, Sask. - Paul Ciarelli scored in overtime to cap a four-goal rally for the Brandon Wheat Kings, who beat the Moose Jaw Warriors 7-6 on Sunday night in Western Hockey League action.
The Wheat Kings trailed 6-3 heading into the third period.
Alessio Bertaggia's second goal of the night on a penalty shot tied the game, while Mark Stone scored a goal and added three assists for the Wheat Kings (16-7-2).
Stone and Brenden Walker scored 56 seconds apart in the first 1:53 of the third period to get the Wheat Kings back in the game.
Walker, Tyrel Seaman and Eric Roy each had a goal and an assist for the Wheat Kings.
The Warriors scored the first two goals of the game, but trailed 3-2 when they scored four goals in 4:07 in a wild second period that saw the teams combine for 40 shots on goal.
Andrew Johnson scored twice and added two assists for the Warriors (14-7-2).
Quinton Howden, Torrin White and Brett Lyon each scored once and added an assist, while Sam Fioretti had the other Warriors goal.
Corbin Boes was pulled after he allowed six goals on 29 shots. Boes made a series of sensational saves in the second period to keep the Wheat Kings in front, but couldn't withstand the barrage.
Brandon Anderson stopped all 19 shots he faced in relief to earn the win.
Luke Siemens made 34 saves for the Warriors.
