Paul Byron will have a hearing with NHL Department of Player Safety on Wednesday.

The Montreal Canadiens forward is facing discipline for charging Florida Panthers defenseman MacKenzie Weegar on Tuesday.
The incident occurred in the Panthers zone at 3:40 of the second period during Montreal's 5-1 win at Bell Centre. Byron received a two-minute minor penalty for charging. Weegar left the game and did not return.
The following grounds are being considered for supplemental discipline: charging. However, the Department of Player Safety retains the right to make adjustments to the infraction upon review.
