Paul Byron scores deciding shootout goal as Heat defeat Wolves 3-2

ROSEMONT, Ill. - Paul Byron scored the deciding goal in the shootout as the Abbotsford Heat beat the Chicago Wolves 3-2 in American Hockey League action Friday.

Ben Walter and Brendan Mikkelson scored second-period goals for the Heat (14-8-1), who came back from a 2-0 first-period deficit.

Tim Miller and Kevin Connauton scored in the first for Chicago (9-7-3).

Leland Irving made 28 saves for Abbotsford.

Eddie Lack stopped 30 shots for Chicago.
