Patterson scores winner as the Blades slice through Calgary for sixth straight win @NHLdotcom

CALGARY - Gaelan Patterson scored the game-winning goal in the third period as the Saskatoon Blades downed the Calgary Hitmen 3-1 in Western Hockey League action Sunday night.

Burke Gallimore and Stefan Elliott also scored for the Blades (7-4-0-0), who have won six straight games including four in a row on the road.

Ian Schultz scored the lone goal for the Hitmen (7-3-0-0), whose five-game winning streak came to an end. It was also the first time the Hitmen lost on home ice at the Pengrowth Saddledome in seven games this season.

Rookie Saskatoon goalie Adam Morrison made 22 saves to improve his record to 2-0, while Calgary netminder Martin Jones stopped 21 shots.
