Pats clinch playoff spot with 5-4 win over the Warriors @NHLdotcom

REGINA - Jordan Weal scored once and set up two more as the Regina Pats beat the visiting Moose Jaw Warriors 5-4 on Friday in Western Hockey League action.

Lyndon Martell, Kyle Burroughs, Morgan Kliimchuk and Matt Marantz also scored for the Pats (36-25-7), who clinched a playoff position for the first time since 2008.

Kenton Miller had three goals for the Warriors (41-19-8), who have lost three straight but still sit second in the Eastern Conference, while James Henry had a goal and two assists.

Matt Hewitt made 39 saves for the win as Luke Siemens turned away 17 shots in defeat.

Regina went 1 for 4 on the power play while Moose Jaw went 2 for 4.
