Patrick O'Sullivan headed to Edmonton in three-team trade @NHLdotcom

EDMONTON - Patrick O'Sullivan is headed to Edmonton as part of a three-team trade.

The Los Angeles Kings traded the forward to Carolina, who then flipped him to the Oilers. The Oilers also picked up a second-round draft pick in 2009 from Carolina.

In exchange for O'Sullivan, the Oilers sent forward Erik Cole and a fifth-round draft pick in '09 to Carolina while the Hurricanes gave up forward Justin Williams to the Kings in exchange for O'Sullivan and a second-round pick in '09.

O'Sullivan recorded 14 goals and 23 assists in 62 games this season. In 188 NHL games, O'Sullivan, has 41 goals and 68 assists in 188 career games.

Cole has 16 goals and 11 assists 63 games while Williams, who has battled injury the past two seasons, has three goals and seven assists in 32 games.
