Blackhawks forward receives NHLPA's MVP trophy after 106-point season

LAS VEGAS -- Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane won the Ted Lindsay Award at the 2016 NHL Awards at Hard Rock Casino on Wednesday.
The Lindsay Award is given annually to the most valuable player as voted by the League's players.

Kane, the first American to win the Art Ross Trophy as the League's top scorer, is also a finalist for the Hart Trophy, given to the League's regular-season MVP as decided in a vote of the membership of the Professional Hockey Writers' Association.
Kane had 46 goals and 60 assists this season and was the only player in the League to reach 100 points.
The other finalists were forward Jamie Benn of the Dallas Stars and goaltender Braden Holtby of the Washington Capitals.
