Parks makes 40 stops as Kingston beats Guelph 4-1 to snap losing skid @NHL

GUELPH, Ont. - Mavric Parks stopped 40 shots to carry the Kingston Frontenacs to their first win in eight games as they upset the Guelph Storm 4-1 on Sunday afternoon in the Ontario Hockey League.

Nathan Moon had a goal and an assist for the Frontenacs (5-12-4-0), who were outshot 41-29. Guelph fired 20 shots in the third period, but could not beat Parks.

Jesse Brown, Ethan Werek and Peter Stevens also scored for Kingston.

Brandon Buck was the only player to beat Parks, scoring on a second-period power play for the Storm (12-7-1-1).

Jake Fischer made 25 saves in a losing effort for Guelph.
