Sledding

While hanging out in single digit temperatures, the Florida Panthers tried an activity unavailable to them in the Sunshine State: Dog sledding.

The Panthers paid a visit to Snowy Owl Dog Sled Tours in Canmore, Alberta for some team bonding on Monday, one day before they play the Calgary Flames at Scotiabank Saddledome.

The Panthers learned how to drive a sled, what commands to use with the dogs and what each dog's position on the sled is responsible for.
"It's kind of in our minds of teamwork," coach Andrew Brunette said. "[The dogs] all pull each other. Obviously, they're pulling us along... but they're all pulling together and doing things together, so it was kind of fun to see that. It was a great team-bonding activity."

Forward Sam Bennett, after his first time dog sledding, agreed.
"We had a blast out there," Bennett said. "The dogs were great. The weather was great. It was a lot of fun."
You know what they say, on ice or in the snow, teamwork makes the dream work.
