SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) -Olli Jokinen scored two third-period goals to lead the Florida Panthers to a 3-2 preseason victory over the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday.
The game was scheduled for a midday start to draw Broward County students to the game with reduced ticket prices, but tests kept many public students away.
Anthony Stewart had the other goal for Florida, while defenseman Cory Murphy had three assists. The Panthers improved to 4-1 in the preseason.
Patrick Sharp and Robert Lang scored for Chicago, 2-3-1 in the preseason.
Florida outshot the Blackhawks 32-16. Craig Anderson stopped 14 shots for Florida. He allowed his first two goals of the preseason after stopping all 55 shots in his previous 90 minutes of play.
Nikolai Khabibulin made 29 saves for Chicago.
The Panthers trailed 2-1 before Jokinen tied the game at 3:09 on a power-play goal. Standing alone to the side of the net, Jokinen redirected Murphy's hard pass from the point.
Jokinen scored the winner when his wrist shot from the faceoff circle beat Khabibulin to the stick side.
